Review Guidelines
Every published review comes from a verified patient. These are the rules that keep it that way — for reviewers, and for clinics.
Who may review
Only people who were actually treated at the clinic. One review per verified treatment. Clinic owners, employees, and agencies acting for a clinic may not review that clinic — or its competitors.
Proof of treatment
We verify every review before it goes live. Acceptable proof: an operation note or treatment summary, a payment receipt or invoice (amounts may be redacted), or dated before/after photos. Proof documents are used only for verification, are never published, and are handled per our Privacy Policy.
Content rules
- First-hand experience only — describe what happened to you.
- Be specific and honest; negative experiences are as welcome as positive ones.
- No incentivised reviews: nothing written in exchange for discounts, refunds, or perks.
- No hate speech, threats, or personal attacks on staff as individuals.
- No medical claims beyond your own experience, and no promotional links.
How moderation works
Reviews enter a verification queue where our team cross-checks the proof. We also run anti-fraud checks: reverse-image search on photos, burst detection for coordinated campaigns, and duplicate detection. Reviews that fail verification are not published. Verified reviews feed the clinic’s Trust Score under the published methodology at How We Rank.
Clinic responses and removal requests
Clinics that have claimed their profile may post one public response per review — labeled as the clinic’s response. Clinics cannot pay to remove, hide, or reorder reviews. A clinic that believes a review is fraudulent may flag it with evidence at corrections@hairclinicrankings.com; we re-verify and act on the evidence, not on who is asking.
